Grammy!

This is SO long overdue, but I can not forget to tell everyone about the amazing, magical week Max had with his grammy!

Unfortunately, it was our version of "cold", though Julie insists it was wonderful (I guess compared to 20 degrees and snow, it is). Max had such an amazing time with Grammy, he really loved a whole week of full of fun, concentrated, enthusiastic, undivided attention. They did so much together from going to the playground to picnics in the park (every day) to singing songs and having dates so mom and dad could go out! I think it was one of the best weeks of his little life...

And we learned so much too. Being around Grammy (or as I call her, Mary Poppins), we were reminded how important it is to keep trying things with Max...he may not be able to do something today, but he could very well be able to do it tomorrow! And boy did he do, do, do. I think he was exhausted, the day she left he took VERY long naps :) We can't wait to see you again Grammy!!

Playing in the Park....
Happy to be outside!!
"Chase the Grammy" was one of Max's favorite games - following her around the circle...

He crawled UP The stairs for his first time!

More Walk-A-Bouts

Ok, Ok...Everyone (i.e. Mom and Dad) is asking for more walking videos, so I've taken my laptop to WORK to meet this demand!

He is getting a bit shy now because he knows we're making him walk around to get it on tape. So, first video is a brief walk from the other night but the second video is Max this morning pushing around his "Grocery Cart". This is actually little mini-car, but since he puts things in it (and I think he looks like an old lady in a grocery store when he pushes), we call it his cart...

We went into our hallway (at 7am nonetheless, our neighbors love us) so he'd have plenty of room to go...when he hits the walls at home, he gets frustrated and yells at his cart.

He looks like such a little man in this one....notice Lincoln hurling his body against the door, he does NOT like being left out.

Big Day

Stop the presses....Max is "walking"....Mom and Dad were pretty excited, we didn't exactly do that "don't react to their walking" approach. Oops.

Shower

I'm working on some more "important" blogs (Big week with Grammy and big weekend with WGs), but since my internet is down at home (what else is new), here is a quick Max fix below.

Lately, getting ready in the mornings has been close to impossible. I've set up a complete "decoy" bathroom within my bathroom so Max thinks he is going through all my stuff and getting into trouble when really he is just pulling out cotton balls and nail files from plastic drawers. I'm a genius, I know.

But, while I'm in the shower I can't seem to create a good enough diversion. He knows I'm there and watches me from the ledge while banging his hands for attention. I tried giving him toys to play with, but he just throws them in the shower - that lasts about four seconds. Literally. So, this morning, once he had gotten himself soaking wet by leaning in, slipped and fell three times and cried, I decided to just bring him in with me and his "toys"...he was much happier.

p.s. I think he looks so much taller lately, and you can really see it here with those long legs. He obviously got this from his mother.

p.p.s In looking at this picture I see what Susan meant this weekend when she declared my shower "way overcrowded". Nonetheless, Sue, I think Lincoln's shampoo was pretty clearly marked "ANIMAL PHARMACEUTICAL", if you'd only read it before using...I haven't laughed that hard in months.
