More Walk-A-Bouts

Ok, Ok...Everyone (i.e. Mom and Dad) is asking for more walking videos, so I've taken my laptop to WORK to meet this demand!

He is getting a bit shy now because he knows we're making him walk around to get it on tape. So, first video is a brief walk from the other night but the second video is Max this morning pushing around his "Grocery Cart". This is actually little mini-car, but since he puts things in it (and I think he looks like an old lady in a grocery store when he pushes), we call it his cart...

We went into our hallway (at 7am nonetheless, our neighbors love us) so he'd have plenty of room to go...when he hits the walls at home, he gets frustrated and yells at his cart.

He looks like such a little man in this one....notice Lincoln hurling his body against the door, he does NOT like being left out.

Big Day

Stop the presses....Max is "walking"....Mom and Dad were pretty excited, we didn't exactly do that "don't react to their walking" approach. Oops.

Shower

I'm working on some more "important" blogs (Big week with Grammy and big weekend with WGs), but since my internet is down at home (what else is new), here is a quick Max fix below.

Lately, getting ready in the mornings has been close to impossible. I've set up a complete "decoy" bathroom within my bathroom so Max thinks he is going through all my stuff and getting into trouble when really he is just pulling out cotton balls and nail files from plastic drawers. I'm a genius, I know.

But, while I'm in the shower I can't seem to create a good enough diversion. He knows I'm there and watches me from the ledge while banging his hands for attention. I tried giving him toys to play with, but he just throws them in the shower - that lasts about four seconds. Literally. So, this morning, once he had gotten himself soaking wet by leaning in, slipped and fell three times and cried, I decided to just bring him in with me and his "toys"...he was much happier.

p.s. I think he looks so much taller lately, and you can really see it here with those long legs. He obviously got this from his mother.

p.p.s In looking at this picture I see what Susan meant this weekend when she declared my shower "way overcrowded". Nonetheless, Sue, I think Lincoln's shampoo was pretty clearly marked "ANIMAL PHARMACEUTICAL", if you'd only read it before using...I haven't laughed that hard in months.

CSI: Baby

Last week Max had Spinach and I decided to let him be as messy as he wanted...he took full advantage! The spinach was smeared everywhere - face, hair, body, high chair, etc. it made me think of a crime scene and I could just see "H" from CSI: Miami saying, "the blood spatter is too messy - this is not the work of a professional." And then some cheesy line like, "his next job may be in the jail library...."

Some video below of the 'incident', as well as all the funny eating noises he makes...

sugarrrrrr

I've been wondering why Max hasn't liked his oatmeal lately, and I think I found the culprit this weekend when the following conversation occurred:

Charlie: "I have no problem feeding Max his oatmeal, he eats it right up"
Becky: "Really? which fruit do you mix it with, he doesn't seem to like the apple sauce lately?"
Charlie: "Oh, I just put a little Jelly in and he LOVES it"...
Becky: "CHARLIEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Good thing I have read every single "Feeding Baby Green" and healthy baby eating book, article, etc. out there and continue to cook concoctions like "Super Porridge" to keep him healthy. haha. In that tradition, we gave him another special treat and let him have a taste of my slushy lemonade at the Coconut Grove Arts Fair this weekend. No surprise, he loved it.

We hate the cold!

OK, I know all the northern gang is going to yell at me, but we're sick of the "cold" here. Yes, it's 50's/60's, but that's cold for us! And Max HATES the layering. He most especially does NOT like when I put his coat and hat on (Although we love his hat, Aunt Suzie - he gets complements all the time)!!

Here he is yelling at me this morning when I put his gear on...

Superbowl!

Tonight, Charlie proudly took Max around South Beach declaring, "It's his first Superbowl" to anyone who would listen.

Luckily, Max is pretty darn cute - so much so, that Albert Haynesworth ("future Hall of Famer in Charlie's words) asked to hold him during a picture!

He was a little scared at first, but he eventually warmed up....and Max liked it too! Hahaha
